Lew Bader is deeply committed to mentoring and advancing finance professionals. He serves as Chair of the Long Island chapter of The FENG (Financial Executives Networking Group) and also chairs its Peer Résumé Review Committee, leading a team that provides structured, executive-level guidance to members navigating career transitions.
Lew is a finance executive with extensive experience across both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Counseling in Schools as Chief Financial Officer in 2015, Lew built a successful career in the publishing industry where he held senior financial leadership roles supporting large-scale operations, complex revenue models, and strategic growth initiatives. His background in publishing provided a strong foundation in financial planning, operational discipline, and cross-functional leadership.
At Counseling in Schools, Lew oversees financial strategy, operations, and governance for a growing, mission-driven organization. He plays a key role in strengthening financial infrastructure while supporting the organization’s expansion and long-term sustainability.
In addition, Lew serves as Treasurer of the Eric Jason Bader Foundation, a family-founded nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to arts, sports, and educational opportunities for children in under-resourced communities. His career reflects a blend of financial leadership, strategic vision, and a strong commitment to service and mentorship.
